What Kind Of Fencing You Are Looking For?
Tips Fences
Consider these tips from Morales Fence Installation & Repair to keep your fence looking great: Remove debris such as weeds and rocks from the fence perimeter on a regular basis. If you have a wood fence, ensure that boards don’t contact the ground. Have termites or ants? Use insecticide to prevent them from damaging the wood. For vinyl and aluminum fences, clean them once per year with a mild soap solution or a light power washing. Always remove flaking or peeling paint on wood fences and refinish the surface. Always repair broken boards, loose hinges or posts before they injure someone or cause an accident.
Picture Frame Fence
Installing a picture frame style fence can be a win win for both you and your neighbor. One of the best qualities of a picture frame style design is that both sides of the fence look exactly the same. This style of fence can be beneficial when both neighbors are looking to fence their property and cannot determine which person deserves the “friendly” side. It can also be designed in several different styles to accommodate each person’s specific taste, i.e. – spaced, privacy, board on board, etc.
Wood Fence
On the flip side, a picture frame design will have much more up keep then other wood fences. The 2×4’s are “toe-nailed to the posts and have a tendency to pull away over time. Due to the design and installation techniques, wood rot is a major concern, so we ask that you weigh your options and please put a lot of thought into your final decision.
